Maybe you have wondered if dandruff is contagious? At one point my spouse used to think dandruff is contagious. Now, when I think back on it, it seems silly. My concerned wife would cautiously say things like... use your own comb, I might catch your dandruff. I really used to feel awkward inside when she would say those things. Well, if you are curious if dandruff is contagious, the simple straight answer is no; now my wife and ladies everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief. Dandruff is not contagious. The dandruff ailment is found to be caused by skin cells that are reproducing in over drive mode. The white snowy like flakes that you see falling on your shoulders are not contagious or dangerous at all and they will not cause some one else to catch dandruff because they are not contagious. If you have a dog that has dandruff you may have an allergic reaction... but that's only in special cases (like if you are allergic to your dog's dandruff), and from our research it does not appear that this happens to alot of people... or dogs for that matter.
